Ayurvedic Cosmetics: Natural care in harmony with nature
The ayurvedic health teachings are based on ancient Indian traditions and experiences. The holistic approach, in which each person is seen as an independent individual affects all areas of Ayurveda.
The focus is on a harmonious balance between the three Doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Based on this, your outer radiance is a reflection of your inner health. This means that with the right Ayurveda cosmetics, you can make an important contribution to the balance of the Doshas.
As in all other areas of life, in Ayurveda, your individual needs are also considered when choosing cosmetics. The three Doshas each require different care to sustainably improve your complexion.
Vata skin is fine-pored, slightly rosy or brownish, and tends towards dryness, cracks, and increased sensitivity, especially with too much sun.
Pitta skin is characterized by freckles or moles and tends to redness or inflammation. Too much Pitta can lead to allergies or skin irritations.
Kapha skin tends to increased oil and sebum production, is large-pored, and often impure.
Ayurveda cosmetics, whether for face, body care, or oral hygiene, should always be based on natural ingredients. Only then can your body absorb the components and benefit from them.

Ayurveda Facial Care: Individual Skin Care
Depending on your Dosha, you should also design your facial care. This can be nourishing oils, moisturizing lotions, or cooling products. You should make your daily facial care a fixed ritual.
You can add facial massages or steam baths that promote circulation and stimulate cell renewal. For this, a rose quartz roller is suitable, symbolizing self-love and tenderness. This way, you additionally gain more relaxation and naturally reduce stress.
With an appropriate Ayurveda facial care you also achieve an anti-aging effect. Your skin stays firmer longer and retains its fresh glow. Based on the holistic approach of Ayurveda, proper nutrition is also part of healthy skin!!
Ayurveda Body Care: Connection of Body and Mind
Balanced body care is the foundation for comprehensive well-being in your own body. Gentle peels – with your hand or an ion brush – promote your circulation and support detoxification.
Oil massages, which you can perform yourself, calm your nervous system, reduce stress, and improve your sleep quality. Try to create a relaxed ritual here too.
Also pay attention in Ayurveda body care to products that match your Dosha. In our shop, you will find high-quality massage oils for every Dosha type - like the Glow Facial Oil or the Inner Peace Body Oil. They support your Dosha balance and help you gain more energy and improve your performance.
Ayurveda Oral Hygiene: Detoxification of the Body
Your oral hygiene should be a fixed part of your daily routine. With an Ayurvedic oral care oil, you start your day refreshed. Additionally, oil pulling can cleanse your mouth of toxins and prevent bad breath!
All products for ayurvedic oral hygiene are based on valuable, natural ingredients. These include nourishing oils, as well as traditional herbs and medicinal plants. In the Ayurdent Herbal Toothpaste, for example, chemical foaming agents are completely avoided.
Ayurvedic Cosmetic Rituals – Beauty That Comes From Within
In the Ayurvedic tradition, cosmetics are not a superficial topic but part of profound self-care. Touch, cleansing, and nourishing care are not only beneficial for the skin – but also for the nervous system, hormone balance, and emotional balance. Beauty becomes a reflection of inner order and vitality (Ojas). Conscious cleansing rituals can bring your inner beauty to the outside:
1. Cleansing Ritual – Gentle & Detoxifying
Morning:
Cleanse with rose water or gentle herbal steam bath (e.g., lavender, chamomile, Tulsi)
Apply a gentle cleansing oil with herbal extracts (e.g., neem, triphala, or manjistha)
Mini-massage in upward movements – breathe consciously
Evening:
Clarify face with chickpea flour & turmeric or a cleansing mask
Then use a soothing tonic (e.g., sandalwood hydrosol or aloe vera)
You can also incorporate a self-care ritual and repeat an inner mantra during cleansing – e.g., “I let go of what burdens me”.
2. Abhyanga for the Face – Ojas for the Skin
A gentle self-massage of the face deeply nourishes the skin layers and promotes lymph flow. This enhances your glow, regulates Vata, and can promote your body's self-healing powers.
Here's how:
5–10 minutes of facial massage with warm Ayurvedic facial oil (e.g., Brahmi, sandalwood, or rosehip oil)
Massage in circular motions with fingertips, consciously include forehead, jaw, and temples
Then remove with a warm, damp cloth or let it absorb
You can also incorporate a mini-meditation and repeat a mantra, e.g., "I gift my face with light and love".
3. Herbal Masks by Dosha – For Your Skin Balance
Depending on Dosha type, individually tailored face masks make the skin appear more awake and radiant. The special ingredients soothe, nourish the skin, and bring it into balance.
Vata types should preferably use an avocado-honey-rosewater mask, which is particularly nourishing and soothing.
For Pitta, a cooling and anti-inflammatory mask made from aloe vera, cucumber, and sandalwood powder is most suitable.
Kapha prefers a mask made of clay, turmeric, and lemon juice, which cleanses and activates the skin.
