Delicious detox recipes for Pitta

Nutrition is the most important foundation in Ayurveda. And a perfect tool for bringing your individual dosha constellation into balance. The key to this is always awareness and mindfulness. Specifically: Be aware of what dosha type you are and pay attention to which foods can help you balance your doshas.
To prevent an imbalance, none of the three bioenergies should become dominant. Otherwise, you will quickly notice it. Sometimes emotionally and sometimes physically. But in the summer or warm season, Pitta gets into high gear in everyone. For this reason, you can balance an excess of Pitta with delicious detox recipes.
Which taste balances your Pitta?
The typical Pitta characteristics include hot, spicy, and oily. These can be counteracted with sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes. Additionally, the dishes should be cool, dry, and in sufficient quantity. Sweet, bitter, and astringent have a cooling effect. This is naturally desirable for the heated Pitta type. Sweet nourishes your Agni, while bitter supports the liver and gallbladder.
At the European Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof, we ensure that the products are as untreated, regional, and seasonal as possible are selected for the dishes. Learn here more about European Ayurveda® nutrition at Sonnhof.
