Ayurvedic nutrition in harmony with the seasons

Elisabeth Naschberger-Mauracher01.04.2025

A diet that adapts to the seasons is an essential part of an Ayurvedic lifestyle and supports your digestive fire in its function. With the change of seasons, the available foods also change. During the cold months (January, February, March), you should mainly reach for stored fruits and vegetables, while in spring (April, May), you can enjoy fresh foods again. Summer (June, July, August) brings a variety of fruits and vegetables. Lightly steamed fruit and occasionally raw food can even be enjoyed at lunchtime during these months (Pitta time). Autumn (September, October, November) is harvest time.
