Ayurvedische Massagen haben eine viel tiefergehende Bedeutung für Körper, Geist und Seele.

When was the last time you had a massage? Ideally a full body one? We tend to only get a massage when our neck is stiff and our back hurts so much that we can hardly move. However, Ayurvedic massages have a much deeper significance for body, mind, and soul. At our European Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof, massages are a fixed part of the individual cures and programs.

Let go and release

The combination of touch and high-quality oils makes massages in Ayurveda so effective. Ayurvedic therapists know exactly how to touch you to initiate certain processes. First of all, Ayurvedic massages are always touch. And for some, this touch feels heavenly on the skin, which is our largest organ. Others, for various reasons, do not like to be touched as much. But even here, the massage has a healing power, as the valuable and loving movements on the skin can break through this self-protection barrier built by fear and injury.

The regular and repetitive movements promote warmth and immediately help you to come into a state of relaxation. Your mind will ‘shut down,’ and you can fully focus on the sensation you are experiencing. You will quickly feel how tensions and touches slowly dissolve and make space. Your whole body expands, becomes more flexible and agile. You are in the flow.

Detox and purify

But it’s not just the skin that gets pampered. Simultaneously, the internal organs are massaged, which stimulates circulation and metabolism. By massaging in healing oils, the pores of the skin are opened. While the beneficial ingredients of the oils are absorbed, the detoxification process is also intensified. Both physical and mental imbalances can be counteracted with the help of an Ayurvedic cure. Not only physical blockages are released, but also mental ones.

Massages also help to clear the mind, open the blinders, and allow for more inspiration and expansiveness. Harmony on all levels – in the literal sense. Because the massage works from the outermost layer of the skin deep into your cells and beyond into your soul. We will tell you which Ayurvedic massages are particularly good for strengthening the immune system and your well-being in general.

Udanavata© – our European Ayurveda® special massage

The appropriate Ayurveda massage to release physical and mental blockages. Since fear often sits in the stomach or affects digestion, this is a stomach special treatment. The massage stimulates venous and lymphatic return flow and helps greatly in clearing the mind, improving sleep, and finding inner balance. You feel empowered and stable and can hear your inner voice again.

Upana – the salt-rich Ayurveda massage strengthens your defenses

The Ayurveda massage stimulates circulation through the use of a salt-oil scrub. Thanks to the coarse structure of the salts, the massage is particularly effective in cleansing and detoxifying. The flushing out of harmful substances simultaneously strengthens the immune system. The massage has the advantage of enhancing the skin's appearance.

Prana Healing Massage© – the Ayurveda massage specifically from Sonnhof

The massage focuses on harmonizing your energy centers. We work with high-quality chakra essences, which you can choose yourself before the massage. The intuitive approach assumes that you subconsciously know what you need or what is missing. By using your self-chosen essence, the harmony of body, mind, and soul is restored.
