Detox Smoothie: Detoxification through healthy drinks

A detox cure is one of the best things you can do for your body, mind, and soul. You free yourself from old burdens and free your body and organs from harmful toxins and waste. Especially in spring, when Vata with its cleansing and changing energies creates space for new things, a detox cure is worthwhile. In addition to Ayurvedic treatments and sufficient exercise, the right diet is important. To stay full of power during your detox process, we have a very healthy and delicious detox smoothie today.

Start the day with your detox smoothie

In Ayurveda, we believe that particularly the diet plays a major role in detoxification . With the right ingredients and foods, you can significantly improve your quality of life.

Nutritious, rich in vitamins, and a real energy bomb: a detox smoothie is almost like a little magic drink. Freshly prepared, with fruit, vegetables, and optionally a few herbs, you can bring your doshas into balance and keep your digestive fire Agni going.

The preparation is incredibly simple. All you need, besides the ingredients, is a blender or hand blender. The advantage: By processing whole foods, your body gets much more fiber and nutrients than, for example, from pressed fruit. Blending breaks down the cell walls of the ingredients. Vitamins, minerals, and other components are thus easier for the body to process.

Additionally, a detox smoothie is simply a super energy bomb that provides you with power for the entire day. Here are two great recipes:

Green Energizer

Ingredients:

  • 2 kiwis (peeled)

  • 2 red apples

  • 2 bunches flat-leaf parsley

  • 2 handfuls spinach leaves

  • 100 ml almond or oat milk

Preparation:

Here, too, wash the vegetables and fruit and peel if necessary. Puree the kiwis, parsley, spinach, and almond milk until there are no more lumps left. Mix in the fresh apple juice with a quick blend, and voilà - your green energizer is ready to enjoy.

Happy Morning Detox – Smoothie

For 2 servings you need:

  • 2 pears

  • 1 banana

  • Juice of ½ lime

  • 4 carrots

  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds

Preparation:

Clean the vegetables thoroughly, just wash or peel if you wish. But don't forget, most nutrients are in the peel. Then use a blender for the carrots and pears. In the next step, add the banana and hemp seeds to the juice and puree everything finely. Round off your smoothie with lime juice for a taste to start a Happy Morning.
